No but I had an Edwardian style double-breasted jacket I was awfully fond of. Not in pastels - didn't wear those. Still partial to cottons and fine wools. Liked the wearing of boots too - had some made in Korea when stationed there.

Koreans made some good leather products, but I was skeptical of where it comes from, animal-wise. Lends new meaning to the complaint "my dogs are barking".

Can't really seem to come up with any reasons to hate the 60s and 70s.

In the 60s I was in school (elementary through college[in my case USAFA]), learned to play the trombone and played everything from rock to symphonies, met my future wife, achieved a long held dream (USAFA again), and got to live for a short space in Hawaii while visiting my folks.

In the 70s, I got my commission, got married [34= years now and counting], flew fighters [another dream achieved] (survived an accident I shouldn't have), saw my two sons born, got a masters degree, travelled the world.

What's not to like?

Which fighters?

My mother had this thing for trying to keep up with the Jones. So when the Naru shirts came out in the sixties, which I hated, my brother and I got our matching pair of these things and were expected to wear them......and then in the seveties the platform shoes were also a bit too much. Then again, I wasn't much for following the one with the bell around the neck. I favored the penny loafers less the white socks and now that I look at my wardrobe........

Hey, I had a Neru shirt, Mom made it under duress. Wore it once. I did have platform shoes. I just threw them ouot about two years ago. They were BLUE.

I remember going to see Fleetwood Mac with a girl who was 4' 11" in flats and I was wearing 4" heels on top of 6'4". What the heck was I thinking? But hey, it was the style.

Still better than that baggy crap with the underwear hanging out.

That wasn't the last concert they had here in Tucson at the stadium was it? I was dating a young UA Wildcat at the time and we could hear the music that night load and clear from her place. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

The grand ol' lady of the skies - the smoky Phantom Jet, Big Ugly, the Rhino.

Officially known as the McDonnell-Douglas F-4 Phantom II. I flew C (Weasel Variant, though not as a "Bear", I was a WSO not an EWO), D (including some specially modified versions), and E models (both hard and soft-wing). Every mission from air defense to air-ground with unconventional weapons - sat both Victor and Zulu Alert, in Florida, Germany, and Korea.

Also had a few hours, as a casual crewmember, in the F-100F and F-105F.

I don't know if it was the "last", but it was at the UA stadium. I wasn't a big Fleetwood Mac fan, but I must admit Lindsey Buckingham was pretty impressive.

Check out the threads on the "Political Soapbox" forum. That's where most folks here post, though anyone can post anywhere.
