Any personal messages you hit the new messages link upper right. For older messages go to my controls and find your mailbox. To find members hit members in the upper right and you can search through them and find their posts, topics, etc by going to their profile in the upper right corner.

In my controls you can change your signature, put in an avatar, check you mailbox etc.

The work around is that you post the avi file at another site (photo and video hosting sites like photobucket) and link it here. Folks other than me know how to do this, and will chime in I'm sure.

There are limits to that too apparently. I can post my avatar from a 3rd party site, but am unable to do the same for the personal photo. I am unable to upload either. Apparently it is an issue of the settings to the forum which AV doesn't know how to modify.

Ok, so is there a way to have this msg board reverse date list the postings? I don't like having to sift through years of old posts to get to the new ones, and I'm afraid I can't seem to find where that particular option is.

As far as I know, there is no way to reverse date list the posts.

What you can do though is start at the first page on a thread , then look down at the bottom of the page to the area which lists page numbers. At the far right of that group of numbers, click "on >>".

That will take you to the most current page. That will also set a cookie on your machine that will mark that page as the last page you have read. Then use "view new posts" at the top right hand corner of the page.

That will bring up a screen that shows the threads. each with an orange square to the left of the thread title.

Clicking on the orange square will take you to the next post you have not read.
