The first one is from NotSarcasticOrCynical

QUOTE(NotSarcasticOrCynical)
I also think the most important issue is the War in Iraq, and the Democrats aren't delivering on the issue they won on. They are extremely weak there and I think it is an issue he needs to put up front. They may abandon social programs (it's not like they'd dissapear the day he was sworn in as POTUS) to elect someone who actually opposes an illegal war.

Or, are you going to let a few books of food stamps get in the way of bringing the troops home?

A great snippet from johnwk.
QUOTE(johnwk)
.....the Republican and Democrat parties have taken positions to pick up most single issue voters. But those “positions” are never fulfilled___ they become unfulfilled promises year after year, after year............. Voters, especially those who have sucked up to the Republican Party leadership, are finally beginning to figure it out…the Republican Party leadership is all wind and no sail!

I especially like the "all wind" part! laugh.gif

A good paragraph to tweak for letters to third party audiences from Kentucky Thinker:

QUOTE(Kentucky Thinker)
Isn’t it time for a change in 2008? Instead of petty bickering among the freedom-loving third parties, why not support a proven defender of liberty who courageously stands against his own party members when they bastardize our Constitution? Let’s pool our support in the GOP primaries for Dr. Ron Paul, who has served his district in Texas admirably and will serve the country likewise if given the chance.

A great piece of writing from Sammy for the third (or second, such as it is) party crowd:

QUOTE(Samuel Adams)
It appears conservatives and libertarians alike may have a candidate for president that truly shares many of their beliefs. I am, of course, referring to Dr. Ron Paul.

Now it should come as no surprise to many of us that both the media AND the GOP will seek to demonize him. Why the GOP? Because Paul actually stands for what they only espouse. In order for Dr. Paul to have a chance we must get out and explain to others why they should back him. Many on the left will ridicule you by telling you that they hope he is the GOP candidate so that the Democrats can win the White House. We have to decide whether we are willing to fight for what we believe or continue with business as usual which means both parties leading us down the road to socialism.
