It's more than a disconnect, Bix, my man. It's an alternate universe. Just like the Islamists have theirs. It's nothing new. Sandburg wrote all about Bunkshooters, greed, and corruption.

It's just frustrating sometimes when people are soooo willfully ignorant.

I'm tyalking above and beyond even that and Christian groups don't limit their education, food programs and outreach only to Christians. On the contrary, they jump at the oportunity to help non-Christians as a chance to witness. wink.gif

Witness, or pester? wink.gif

I've got nothing against church groups doing charity, but they can have their own criteria, and I believe there should be a floor that doesn't exclude anyone based on religious grounds. If the church decides you're a "sinner", they might just cut you off, or if they decide they want you to have more babies, they may decide you can't have condoms. You know, I wish rightwingers would take this attitude and assail Bush for ruthlessly using 9/11 as his campaign background even after he said, "Of course, no one should use it". Now they attack anyone who accuses him of it. Who uses 9/11 as an answer or excuse for every illegal, unconstitutional over-reach by this president, congress or the new conservative court?

Talk about some real hypocrisy. Those women lost their husbands and had to fight tooth and nail for that forkhead Bush to even have a 9-11 commission. Of course rightwingers hate them for that, and will stoop to any swiftboating level of politics to destroy them. It just reminds rightwingers of the INCONVENIENT fact of how much Bush stonewalled the whole idea of a 9/11 commission. Of course the widdows are angry with him. He was the #1 opponent of ANY investigation. And, ironically, he and his party are the main benificiaries of the milking and manipulating of 9/11 for purely political purposes. As I've said before, anyone willing to use 9/11 as a political tool to elevate their party to political and financial domination can NEVER be trusted again. And anyone who excuses that kind of deceitful, divisive behavior has lost any moral high ground they may have had.

Bottom line, the use of 9/11 as a media/coup tool by Republicans is the lowest act I've ever seen, deserving of scorn and disgust, certainly not admiration.

Oh really?

The same tactics, eh?

Got any sources that have Democrats saying the 9/11 widows are glad their husbands got burned alive when the towers were hit?

dry.gif

No, they were busy saying the President planned 9-11 to murder thousands, Rove should be executed and GW "shot between the eyes".

Maybe everyone should tone it down a little bit so issues can be discussed without so much vitriol.

This is insane. Don't you righties realize it's YOU that Coulter is satirizing? That YOU, not lefties, are the ones she's mocking?

And, to boot, as Lordship keeps reminding us, getting you to PAY her to do it. She's laughing all the way to the bank.

In the meantime, I'm happy to let his true "personality" bleat it's way onto the bandwagon.

If one has to ride on a bandwagon, why should they ride on yours instead? So far I don't see much salesmanship.

Coulter is just lowering the bar so rightwingers can do whatever the fork it takes to win the next election no matter how disgusting. There is no limit to the level of disgusting behavior from the morals and values crowd. It's become a joke. Pretty meaningless actually. Like faith-based. It's all a media event for the benefit of the party.

All hail the party.

Or else.

Oh, come on, davis. Like Limbaugh, Coulter long since ceased to even take herself seriously, much less her fans. They both drip with contempt for their loyal followers.

For Rush, I can at least say that most of his audience is in on the joke and (LP and a few dimwits excepted) know and enjoy the joke. Something like the way SNL, in its better years, was both sincerely meant social commentary, and a satire of the PC left. I don't know what it is with Coulter fans that they're so slow to pick up on the joke.

Except Big Bart. From his repeated posting of that hilarious photo of Ann making fun of herself, half-nekked with a gun, I'm pretty sure he gets the joke.

But you and Biz and Bee need to catch on to the joke, too, and quit taking her seriously. She quit taking HERSELF seriously about the time FoxNews fired her.

"My" bandwagon? Oh sure. If having a normal reaction to TalibAnns depravity is "my bandwagon," it hardly needs to be "sold."

The abnormal reaction is, once again, blaming "democrats" for their own folly, and excusing absolutely repulsive behavior.

"It's always so comforting when Muslims cite the precise verse from the Quran that tells them killing is wrong. Don't all empathetic human beings understand that instinctively? What if they lost their Quran that day and couldn't remember?" (Ann Coulter in "My Name Is Adolf", 9/11/2002)

"My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times Building." (Ann Coulter in a New York Observer interview, 8/20/2002)

Let's not forget that she says Max Cleland was lucky to have 3 of his limbs blown off by a grenade....

Yeah---Spot---it's time to tone it down when exposing Coulter for being the heartless witch that she is...we can't have that happening..better tone it down now.

BullSh*t! mad.gif

I suppose it shouldn't bother me--those that want to identify with her and support her "message" should be allowed to do so unimpeded.

As far as Bush, Cheney et. al. go, oh yeah--the whole lot of'm should be charged with high treason...and then they should receive the appropriate punishment.

She's a lightning rod. She can draw all the criticisms and make even the most radical rightwing extremist congressman look mild by comparison. That way they can spew what they want and it doesn't matter.

Lefties blame everything on righties, think everything right of Che is a Nazi, and truly believe the Republican party is Satan's Own Party. Sorry, but I think Dems and lefties need to worry about their own repulsive behavior, not just revel in the fact it rarely makes the MSM.

WTF? Lots of "democrats" were saying that? Are you nuts?

Sources? I never heard even Cynthia McKinney say the President "planned" 9/11. The guy that said Bush should be "shot between the eyes" apologized and admitted it was the wrong thing to say within hours. He certainly didn't blame "Republicans" for his poor judgement.

I'm tired of giving these outspoken jerks "do-overs." If they want to say indefensible things, they can take the responsibility for them. Blaming others is the Republican M.O. Another one of those "Republican Values."

Coulter is the perfect "poster critter" for that sort of nonsense.

Great quote Davis..............

Now if we can just get you to use that when it comes to what world opinion is toward American Leadership after 9/11 youll be fine.

Who cares what the socialist world thinks?

Republicans may blame others, liberals blame America First.
