I have pleaded, argued, cajoled, posted fire middle fingers pictures, argued again, pleaded, cajoled.

I have asked politely, pleaded, intoned, tit-for-tat-ed, the works.

Nothing's working. The man has ABSOLUTE LICENSE. No accountability.

It's CR's topic. If he wants I'll move it to a separate moderated folder, or even to yours. The political soapbox is not the place for this though.

Personally I'd say the 9/11 thread is getting more use than it has in a long time and you all should thank arebuntz.

What I WILL do on other threads is delete SPAM picture firefights on a one for one basis. Did that already. One inyer to one arebuntz.

As I said from the start if folks want to moderate to bring in MORE members I'm all for it. Moderating to get rid of the members we have is counter-productive.

If you delete what you classify as gratuitous posting and reposting of pictures even-handedly I would be much obliged.

This is not true. It goes on vacation on occasion, but has never been "dead".

I don't live here and that takes time.

When a post is ONLY a Spam pic that's one thing. When it's a NEW reply with a pic that has been posted it isn't much different than putting a pic in your sig line, and then EVERY post has it.

I'd LOVE it if somebody trolled 9/11 conspiracy sites and invited new members for a lively debate on a moderated member board, but that takes time and effort I just don't have right now. I've done a lot of that over the years and half the time people like YOU drive them off after their FIRST post. Anatole comes to mind. No welcome, just right on his ass because he doesn't share some view of sociology BS.

And I don't even want to start on why Bart and Judy aren't here.

Hey, I didn't beg either one of them to come back, as I often have in the past. (and have done with BOTH sides of the aisle) That ought to give you an idea of how fed up I am with the constant threat of people quitting, the whole thing falling apart etc.

He has several times before. Who knows for how long. Maybe for good. Some folks are happy about it, but I know how this whole thing ebbs and flows and debate is not what kills things, lack of activity is.

I suppose if I had a radio show like Hannity I could get new people in constantly, but I don't and can't. That means what is here has to keep things flowing so the occasional visiting poster (as opposed to all those guests) sticks around.

I miss everybody, even when they're just gone for a couple days after being regular I can't even count the number of PMs I've sent to different people without any answer. Lots of nice folks have come and gone in four years. I hate to mention one over the others.
