SD is run by idiots. You have the best RB in the game. The ball, tie score, 4+ minutes left, 2nd and 4 after a 6 yard run. The only thing you can't afford to do is give Tom Brady time and the ball. If LT gets half his average you can easily get the first, kill a minute, and still have plenty of time to get in field goal range, leaving the Pats no time.
So they pass twice, turn the ball over, give up a nice drive, and now most likely give up at least a FG with only 2 minutes to go.
They really deserve to lose. Should keep LT hungry for next year at least.
Every game I've seen SD lose is because they don't use LT in the clutch. Idiots.

If Grossman doesn't get gross, the Bears should win it all. Brady is a miracle worker, but the Bears one-two punch at running back and their defense have the advantage.

yep I was yelling at the tv....He was making 7 yards a crack!
I knew that the only team that could beat San Diego was San Diego, and they beat themselves.
Dropped passes, not giving the ball to LT, turnovers and a stupid penalty.
You cant do that against guys like Brady and expect to win.

More than that. He was just a bit upset when the a few on the opposing team did a dance in the middle of the field that one of the Chargers (Merriman) usually does. He looked like he was ready to fight.

I saw his interview. He wasn't too happy, but I assume you don't always SAY ALL of what you feel. 2nd and 4 is money for LT. They can't stop him at four from the goal line stacked to do the job, no way he'd get stopped in 2 tries for four at midfield. Same with Turner. If they wanted to pass they could have done it under 2 minutes.

The have a seasoned QB, going against a fairly young QB. Decent team on both sides of the ball, but the Saints play in a dome, while Soldier Field is out in the cold. I'd pray for good weather. They have a shot. Best chance is Rex having one of his occassional bad days. Find a way to pressure him that he isn't used to. A good time to do something that isn't on your game films.

Last good day of football. Traffic was AWFUL yesterday and I just know it must have been everyone out shopping so they could stay in today and watch the last of the playoffs. Tedy Bruschi playing for the Pats and Lance Briggs for the Bears. America's new team the Saints.
I'm tired of Manning and the Colts, but the Pats have been in the SB a lot latey. Not sure who to root for in the NFC, but I have to go Pats in the AFC.

I always wonder about that too. As well as why nobody runs the fullback anymore. The FB used to lead the Raiders rushing many a time. Toss in a halfback that can throw, like LT, and you got trouble on defense. There is NO imagination in the NFL it seems. Nobody wants to get second guessed. (or killed by angry bettors)
